The rear-wheel-drive Ghibli is offered in three trims, GT, Modena, and Trofeo while the all-wheel-drive variant only comes in the Modena Q4 trim. Three engines are available on the Ghibli, a 3.0L twin turbo V6 that produces 345 or 424 horsepower depending on the trim and a 3.8L twin turbo V8 that delivers 580 horsepower. Only one transmission is available an 8-speed automatic.
Underneath the lovely steel and aluminum skin, the Ghibli rides on a solid chassis sprung by an alloy suspension with double wishbones up front and a multi-link setup in the rear. The brakes are from Brembo. Maserati claims the base Ghibli offers a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, dual-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery with power seats, heated front seats, a heated power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display, rearview camera and an 8-speaker audio system.
